Bus Driver - Special Trips

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Transport residents throughout covered service area (Blacksburg & Christiansburg). 
• Provide assistance required to safely board residents and caregivers, with limited mobility, including wheelchairs.
• Must be reliable and capable of working independently, excellent time management skills
• 16 hours per par period as a PRN status
• Working evenings/weekends

Education and Experience:

• Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record. 
• Previous passenger transport experience NOT required 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull and bend, with full range of body motion to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.
• Hearing and vision abilities within normal range (corrected) to drive safely and to observe and communicate with passengers.
• Exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
