Prep Cook

Schedule: Full time, days, evenings, nights, weekends. 

Job Objective:

• To prepare food for service according to menu plans and standardized recipes in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates the ability to work in a kitchen where large quantities of food are prepared.
• Exhibits a caring and patient behavior towards residents.
• Monitors inventory control and supplies.
• Demonstrates the ability to use kitchen equipment.
• Demonstrates the ability to use general cleaning equipment and materials.
• Possess the ability to function as a team member
• Prepares and portions food items as designated

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and understand English language.
• Possess simple mathematical calculations; add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Excellent team work skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiar with Health Department Regulations.
• Previous experience working with the senior population preferred
• Strong background in food production and line serving

Pay Range: $19.25 - $22.50

Starting Pay: Based on Experience
